            Zionsville Summer Concert Features Marches and Waltzes

            Zionsville Concert Band will open the Zionsville Lions Club Summer concert series on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in Lions Park with a concert entitled “Marches and Waltzes.”

            The program features beloved patriotic music, including “God Bless America” and John Phillip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever,” our country贵州11选5网投’s official national march. In addition to writing marches, Sousa also wrote waltzes, and the band will perform his “La Reine de la Mer,” as well as waltzes by Johann Strauss, Jr., and Leroy Anderson. The evening will also feature marches by Karl King, Henry Fillmore, John Phillip Sousa, and other composers and will run 80 minutes with intermission.

            The public is invited to bring lawn chairs for the concert, to be held in Lions Park, 115 South Elm Street in Zionsville. The entrance is located on the north side of Sycamore Street in Zionsville (an extension of 116th Street). In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to Zionsville United Methodist Church, 9644 Whitestown Road, Zionsville, and is open to all without charge, and tickets are not required.
