The Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, under the direction of Benjamin G. Del Vecchio, will present Bach to Handel – A Concert of Baroque Music, on Friday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 30 at 3 p.m. at Avon Middle School North (1251 Dan Jones Rd, Avon.)
Beginning with Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No 2 in F Major, the concert will celebrate many major Baroque composers including Handel, Purcell and Scarlatti. The concert will conclude with Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Trumpets in C Major and feature Sergeant. Major Gil Hoffer and Dr. Albert Lilly, Trumpets. The concert will also feature a side-by-side performance by the Brownsburg Middle School Strings.
Tickets for Bach to Handel are $15 at the door for adults, $12 for seniors, and $7 for students with I.D. Advance tickets ($12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for student) can be purchased at the Danville, Brownsburg, Clayton and Plainfield-Guilford Township public libraries, The Hendricks Flyer, branches of the State Bank of Lizton or online at www.hendrickssymphonic.org with a 50 cent service fee.
